Major League Baseball players now have access to the holy grail of baseball apps: an app that lets you review video and stats of every encounter between a pitcher and batter.
Unfortunately for baseball superfans, the app is only available for the players. Bloomberg Sports custom-designed the app for MLB players so they could prepare for games while on the road. 100 out of over 1200 total players in the league

When the Microsoft Zune MP3 player first hit store shelves in 2006, it boasted a very interesting feature. Users could send songs to other Zune owners via Wi-Fi cards built into the devices. Why didn't it take off? No one could find another Zune owner anywhere nearby. But Microsoft was onto something big with the feature. Heineken has developed an impressive mobile game for users to play as they watch UEFA Champion's League matches this year. The native app syncs with the clocks from live soccer matches, and players predict what they think will happen in the next 30 seconds of the match. Each successful prediction results in points, and players can create their own leagues with friends so they can continue competing throughout the tournament.

Unlilever’s Dove brand has recently demonstrated some serious know-how in the mobile space. It recently launched its iAd on March 14, which Dove claims is the first iAd on the Apple iPad. The campaign is surrounding Dove’s Men + Care line of products and is tied in with the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Tablets are a perfect platform to target their audience, men ages 38-50.
