Starting today, Google is rebranding the Android Market, Google Books, Google Music, and video content. Google Play will be the new destination for all buyable Google content and makes the content accessible across all browsers and mobile devices through automatic cloud-based syncing. Google Play seems to be similar to Apple’s iCloud and iTunes Match applications and aims to make its e-commerce and cloud syncing abilities easier for users to understand.
Implications: Consumers are looking for convenience and ease within services, especially when managing content across multiple devices and platforms.
