Many directors have shot films using only the iPhone4 as cameras. One filmmaker, however, has taken that to the next level. French filmmaker Mathieu Weschler spent two years making The Trashmaster. And that’s not the crazy thing. What’s insane is that the film’s footage, an epic 88-minutes of drugs and violence, is made entirely from scenes in Grand Theft Auto IV.
Implications: Gaming has become so graphically rich and culturally significant that it has been adopted into the film industry. This also shows the openness of the entertainment indusrty as a whole, as well as its acceptance and adoption of digital innovations.
